Story Project - Hivemind

This is a piece based off a story concept I have called Hivemind, a sci-fi thriller about a human who was abducted and experimented on by an ancient alien race to serve the universe as one of many hivemind like species. Each hivemind consisting of numerous beings called Husk's, a genetically adaptable hybrid being, able to alter its make up to accommodate various genetic traits via complex genetic sequencing, each under the direct neural command of the hivemind. They can number in the hundreds of thousands and have been known to wipe out entire civilizations under the command of the right mind, this story follows the human that decided against this behavior, to use this power to protect and to return home, however home may not be so excepting of such a powerful being.
