MadnessFM MixSet Album Cover Concept

My first commissioned work, completed within 3 days. This cover was requested by several musicians that are part of the Madness Combat community. These people are both inspirational and driven, and I'm happy that I was able to contribute to their debut mix.

The idea behind this work was to try and emulate the style of the more recent episodes of the Madness Combat series. The request was to include one of the characters and make it red, thankfully the color red is a big part of this series and made this quite easy to achieve. The effects used are quite simple, a particle effect in the background with trails, mixed lighting and reflections while using similar post effects to my previous album cover.
The line effects at the bottom of this cover was actually a happy accident, upon cranking up the reflective properties of the material on a platform, weird artifacts began to show the higher I turned these up, and upon adding a reflection probe exaggerated them. This was rather fortunate, as the look of these lines and the way i came across them kind of fit into the aesthetic of the Madness Combat series, giving it a corrupted kind of feel.

Most of the 3D models are not my own, however were used with permission or were free assets.
